I need a new chainsaw

Postby bigbeeducker » Thu Jun 02, 2005 7:19 pm

Im fixin to buy a chainsaw. I had been using an old Husquevarna (SP) Which chainsaw do some of yall go with Stihl or Husquevarna. I use them about two or three times a week so i guess that qualifies as heavy duty use.

I bought an older model husvaner (spelling) a couple years ago and it has been a good saw. I have seen alot of loggers using both brands but if I was to buy a new one it would be a stihl. I have a stihl weedeater and backpack blower and they are hard to beat.

Stihl is the only way to go. If you are anywhere around Columbia, My Brotherinlaw owns the stihl dealership in Columbia.

In the loggin woods alot of the guys I work with use stihl, but the interest is changing somewhat. Alot more are going to the makita line of saw. I even went our and bought a makita and I am here to tell you this is one mean saw. Stihl better hurry up to catch this one.

Good choice. It doesn't take gas and oil to run it.
