congrats.. to the statesman.. they've got a fine program.. theres no doubt that they could compete with the big boys and hold their own quite well...
when polk retires, mike kennison should be given his due considertation for the state job...

Nice job Statesmen. Rolled and Dominated through the toughest regional in the country. Downed the #6, #7, and #13 teams in the nation and didnt seem to have a problem with them.
If we keep playing like this we'll bring another National Championship back to Cleveland.
And Yes we could compete with any DI this state and many others has to offer. They wont play us though.

I was coached for a short period by Mike Kennison in high school and then moved to another school under Chip Jones. Two great coaches. It's funny how I couldn't stand Mike back then because he was a hardass. Now looking back on it, he had a reason to be. Your perspective tends to change with age. He probably should have been more of a hardass. I hope they go far and I wish him the best.
