Old Hatchie

Why -when you have a hunt test that generally fills up quick ( like old Hatchie) you don't add a couple of flights, especially in Finished. The Spring Test season in this area is all but over after Hatchie and with the Grand fastly approaching it looks like getting the dogs would be know problem. I know Hurricane Lake this weekend in Searcy -showed four flights in Finished and two in Seasoned. I don't know if they got the dogs for all of them or not -but the way Old Hatchie, and Southern Flight filled so quick they probally had know problem. I'm beginning to think these things are already full before you even have a chance to get in. I know that on the HRC site old Hatchie did not have a printable entry and the phone numbers listed -were called and messages were left with no call back.

hatchie

hatchie runs 2 flights in the spring, and 4 in the fall.

the quickest way to run off all your hunt test help (members) is to have 4 flights of finished..... at deer run ranch, things just aren't in place enough to run 4 flights, b/c the slightest bit of rain will trash any travel to the grounds. in the fall, the test is at jeff -n- linda's place in selmer, so its a ton easier to fix club member land vs. land you are granted for a weekend.

hurricane lake was stretched THIN this weekend. I judged one of the seasoned flights, and had it not been for really hard working marshals, we'd have been throwing birds ourselves.
