season's silver lining..
It's already starting here in GA. In today's Atlanta Journal and Constitution (GA's biggest fish wrapper) there were 8 adds for decoys, calls, atv's, and other duck hunting stuff. I can't wait for the next issue of GON (GA Outdoor News) just to see what I can pick up from some dissillusioned duck hunters. Hope the same thing happens over that way...the "come-lately's" will fall by the wayside, and maybe, the crowds will not be so thick next year. Here's to hoping!

True, this season may "cull a few from the herd".

Yes this may be true, but let's not kid ourselves. If you hunt on puplic land very much, you'll know there will always be a new crop of kids poping up with each new season.

Welcome to the fold Steel Shot. Most guys on here have the same attitude as you, cna't wait for next year. A bad day duck hunting beast the hell out of a good day deer hunting. We all get a little forgetful. I remember when the limit was 2 mallards and if you were able to get a limit you were happy as could be. Now if some guys do't walk out with a 6 bird limit they aren't happy--got to admit me too sometimes. You come home with 2-4 mallards a piece, man I'm tellin'you, that's gitten 'em. On one hunt this year in Mo., 4 of us bagged 15 mallards, 14 of which were greenheads, and one woodduck. It wasn't our best shooting day, even though the birds were all shot at 20-30 yards. We were complaining to each other about not getting the 16th mallard! Sheesh, how stupid is that?
Anyway, welcome again, glad to see new, dedicated hunters enter the sport.
