Rez White Perch

Postby Deadeye » Mon Apr 18, 2005 6:45 am

I tried to wrap my turkey season up this past weekend but they just wouldn't cooperate, nothing gobbling. My brother in law fished Barnette Friday afternoon and Saturday and he and his partner absolutely slayed them. They caught over a 100 Friday and that many more on Saturday. He wouldn't give specific info as to where, but they were in the main lake in 2-4 ft of water.

I thought he was bullcraping me when he told me on Saturday, but since we had a fish fry last night... we'll, let's just say that I'll be leaving the office a little early a couple days this week.

Matter of fact, I've killed 5 longbeards this year and called up a couple more for buddies... I think I'm going to oil the gun and break out the
B & M.

Deadeye....likes 'em fried to a golden brown! :D

DeadEye... just so you'll know. MS Law on Bag limits for Turkeys reads as follows:

1 adult gobbler or 1 gobbler with a six inch or longer beard per day, 3 per spring season. Exception: For hunters 15 years of age and younger: One of the 3- bird bag limit (which includes youth hunt weekend and regular spring season combined) may be any gobbler regardless of beard length.

if i am not mistaken a couple of the turkeys that he has taken were killed in Texas.
If some animals are good at hunting and others are suitable for hunting, then the Gods must clearly smile on hunting.

Scott, people of your stature never require an invite... you just give me a call next time you in my neck of the woods.

And to the others that came to my defense on turkey bag limits.... thanks.
