It is green...
Insurance will pay in about 2 weeks..I'll probably have to kick in about a grand to get a new (used) one, unless I buy one of the same year, make and model..I'll prob. get a rancher..hopefully they'll find it, but I'm doubtful.

mallard,
Sorry to hear about that. One thing I can not stand is a thief. I hope the gun goes off and shoots them in the leg.

But hey, I wonder if you could get sued then? You know how some of them lawyers can be!

Hate to hear about that mallard. Dont want to discourage you or anything, but most of'em aint found and like the officer said most of the time if they are found they are ragged out. The reason is, if a "real" criminal stole your wheeler it will probably be sold out of town henceforth never found. If kids stole it they can usually find it but it will have been ridden by kids if ya know what I mean. A big step in getting it recovered is knowing the ID number stamped on the frame so the police can get it on NCIC computer as stolen.

I woke up to go to work this morning and noticed my 4 wheeler was stolen from the back of my truck..I later noticed the truck had been broken into and some clothes and a 10 gauge auto were gone too. This was the 1st time I haven't backed it up against my garage. I don't think it was hunter's bc I had a case of shells, several calls, a dog stand, some camo netting; all that was left..They did steal a camo pull over and a wool sweater, probably just bc they were warm clothes..I'm really pissed off..The officer said they sometimes find them, but usually they're ragged out..
It was a 1997 honda 300 4x4 w/ front and rear racks, and aftermarked tires..

Hey Mallardchaser I will keep my eyes open to see if I see one running around in the bad part of downtown since I work in this area. What color was it that might help some of us. Sorry to hear about the misfortune and hope they catch those bastards.

Sorry to hear about it Mallardchaser, i had one stolen this year. I found it about four miles from my farm, it was painted red and the serial number was ground off.

There is a number on the motor that will cross reference to the serial number on the frame, though some don't know to look there.

i wish you better luck than i had. mine was totally ragged out. Motor blown, wheel bearings gone, brakes shot and all my accessiories gone too. Took it to the honda shop for an estimate to try to get something out the theifs in court. Estimate came in at $5,775 for a 98 honda 300 4x4. Thats is more than i paid for it new!!

I know how ya feel. Andy

MC - call my old man. He'll get the HCSD involved too. He'll stay on the NCIC for you. I looked for it and the tracks back at the river yesterday. You are welcome to put your new one in my garage.
