rust!

Anybody got any good remedies for gun rust? I dont know why but little rust spots are popping up all over my 870. Can it be stopped or is it only a matter of time before all that is left is a pile of red 870 dust.

000 steel or bronze wool, and break free CLP.

BBQ grill paint. 5 bucks a can, and repaint as needed. If the spots are bad, then steel wool them off. If not, just paint, and enjoy. travis

I have some stuff called Gun Brite (sp) that I got somewhere that works pretty good on rust. Rub it in and the rust comes off.

flitz or gun brite is the same thing it will fix the rust and you just keep it oiled when in the case or putting it up for year end.
