How many of you hunt alone, I don't have any duck hunting buddies. I can't really say i would love to hunt with a bunch of people because I have hunted alone for a good bit of my life! just wondering?

I'll hunt by myself only if i can bring the dog.. it's just not as fun totally alone, or with a large group.

i hunt alone sometimes but most of the time i am pared with three other guys we have about 17 people in our hunting club and we usually take groups of 4 to our blinds its nice to get out by myself every once in a while but its also nice when u have times like last year we got into like i have never seen before in the timber for about 2 weeks straight last year one morning i had the bright idea to see if all 17 of us could get a limit in the same hole guess what we all did it was the best hunt i have ever been on and one i will not soon forget imagine what it sounds like when u have about 100 mallards sit down in the blocks and when they get up ohh well u can imagine at 745
17 happy hunters had a limit of mallards
we have a couple of big hunts like that every year if we get em in there right i like hunting whether i am by myself or with 17 people if im hunting im happy and it dont matter whether im alone or with a crowd

I like hunting by myself because I can get my ducks easier without all the hassels of other people. I don't have to fight for shots, go back and forth on who got that duck, etc. I take my dad sometimes with me but I hunt 95% of the time by myself in the duckholes.

Do I do it solo? Yeah, and I'll stop when I need jeff to ck my eyes! bwhahahahaha.

Naw, I never hunt alone. Maybe just me and fatdawg, once or twice a year, but thats rare. Always got folks wanting to go, and with a bunch like mine, and kids like mine, and my social self getting in the truck and just hunthing with different folks for 4 or 5 days, I almost never hunt alone. Hunting alone does have its good points, for one, you can just let em ride, see whut happens. You can learn a lot just hunting, calling, and watching, killing takes a back seat when all you need is 6, and you got all day.. travis

Don't worry GH22 I wouldn't hunt with ya either but maybe I would take you fishing since you do have a mean redfish recipe! I go alone every now and again and it is nice to get away some, but I realy like to hunt with some of my good freinds cause all of my good freinds are all hunters.

My priest said that if you do it solo its a sin....

I hunt by myself from time to time, mostly in the afternoons on the public marshesbut usually with one or two other people. There are always folks clamoring to go, so you can always pick and go. I do a lot of scouting by myself, however.

I got at it alone a lot too. Mainly because my schedule is a lot more flexible than others. I do enjoy just being out there with ol pup. But then again, a friend, a coleman stove and some good ol deer sausage and eggs don't make bad company either.

I usually hunt by myself 2 or 3 mornings during each week. I can only hunt for an hour or so before work, and it's hard to find many people that want to go to the trouble of setting up for only an hour or so. But I'm almost never solo on the weekends, usually a group of 3 or 4 of us then. I really don't like to hunt with more than 4 people.

1 is good, 2 is better, but 3 or more is a crowd.

i enjoy a loner hunt, but i have a particular dedicated huntin buddy who i share alot of hunts with... always ready and his sight is somewhat keener than mine... can spend a few days at the shack with him and we don't get on one anothers nerves... if there are more than 3 hunters, i like to call and watch them shoot... thats alot of fun in itself... let them fight over who got what... i like to cook and entertain....

Well, I'm on both ends of the spectrum. I hunt completely by myself at times, with my dog (REMI) at times, and as many as 6 other guys when I go to Arkansas. I like the solitude of being alone in the sloughs at times, but it is a lot of fun hunting with a blind full of people too.
