Well my duck season ended yesterday.....

I took a hell of a spill out in the yard and completly shreaded my ACL. I take back what I said bout those kidney stones, I don't think they hurt me as bad...

This has been one heart breaking season...For all those with a few moer hunts, good luck.

Well CCD on the bright side your not really missing anything imagine how you would feel if you had tore your ACL and your buddies said there was 20,000 ducks in your honey hole this morning. Just sit back and let Mrs CCD take care of you for a little while.

I have seen a good many ACL torn during my 25 years as a football coach. When are they going to put you back together? Make sure that you do your rehab and keep a positive outlook and you will be back. We will be looking for you next season (sorry about that last bit, my coaching is coming through)

Sure hate to hear it man. I've been there done that. My advice is get it fixed soon and rehab hard...next year you will not miss a beat. The longer you stay off it- the more atrophy you will get from those muscles so it takes longer to build it back...Best of luck.

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys....now for what really happened:

I took the day off for a DR. appointment 'bout them damn kidney stones.
Doctor was not in so I cruised back home and desided to work on my boat blind...

I put everything together raised the blind and was feeling pretty good about my new creation when I desided I better get in the boat to see if it was high enough.

I climed into the boat, sat down on the seat, started blowing my "pretend" duck call, saw a group of "pretend" mallards cupping into the "pretend" spread in my real driveway, I stood up raising my "prentend" shotgun.......thats when the boat trailer fell off the concrete block it was sitting on...........

I was thrown from the boat (no life jacket mind you) into to mud below.

There I was in intense pain. I managed to crawl into the house call my wife and make up this huge story about how I was only walking across the yard when I twisted my knee...

It is rather embarassing guys so I hope ya'll can keep this a secret....

Thanks for listening, and may this be a lesson to us all....
