I am thinking of going turkey hunting in Florida before the season opens in Ms. and was wondering if anyone could give me some information on any public land down there. I have heard of the Ocala national wildlife refuge, but that is about it.Thanks.

Delta,
There is a magazine that I got last night that has some good info on Florida public land turkeys. I will try to look tomorrow and get the name of it for you. It has some info on some military base hunting that sounds pretty good, but for now you can go to Florida department of natural resources and go from there. I think the mag was american hunter, but i'll let you know tomorrow. Let me know what you find out. I am very interested also. Another thing to consider is the swap hunts page. You could offer someone in Florida a Ms hunt for some good Osceola action. I have some friends that have had good luck with this.....

Thanks for the reply. I have gone to the Florida wildlife fisheries and parks web page. It is not very helpful. Thanks for the advice.
