Sorry guys Im surprized he didnt talk about me too, I kind of provoked him about the cigarette out the window topic, just when I got on the computer and read his arrogance it disturbed me, I really enjoy this site too, and it has helped me pass the time on many occassions, Although I have never met but a couple of fellow members in person, I feel like we are all long time friends. I just hate to see new guys come on here and bother the older members. I think, for me it is hard to remember that sometimes the guy on the other end of the computer could be some punk kid or crazy nut,
I thank micah for such a great site, thank the moderators for lot of patience, and hope that we can keep this tight group moving forward, So that being said, Dan take the good with the bad, cause this site still has a lot of good people and useful knowledge on it......

what is odd is that he is the mod at the whitetails.com forum and he violated everyone of his own "rules" on this forum.

I didn't see the guys response, but I saw the original post in the thread. My first thought was that he was being called out --- as opposed to a legitimate question. Not that he didn't deserve it. I was expecting trouble when I read the first post. Sounds like he went a little too far in responding.

A good friend of mine just recently got mugged on the board for pointing out some obvious rules violations. I admit, I thought it was funny. But, he was right. It belonged on the Duckhole Gang board.

I recently lost my temper at someone who purposely called me out for ridicule, and I said a couple of things I probably should not have, and in the process violated a rule or two of the forum. Two wrongs did not make a right. I'm glad I wasn't banned.

My point of this rambling. Before we get too carried away with pointing out the splinter in someone else's eye, lets make sure we get the log out of our own.

There are alot of people out there that think it's funny to hide behind the monitor and feel impowered to say whatever they want. No consequences with being a jerk really other than being banned. I log on here every night and really enjoy alot of the post. People like that make it hard on someone new like me who have few post but are genuinely interested in the topic. I wish I had found this site a long time ago and will tolerate a few bad apples for the better part of this board.

MSDuckmen, the way you asked the question, it sounded to me like you did not believe that the guy was really much of a hunter and wanted to put him on the spot with some questions that he should know the answer to if he were calling himself MsBowMan and really knew anything about bows and bowhunting. From your posts in this thread, you obviously did not intend it that way, but that is what I thought when I first read it. He possibly could have thought the same. Even if you had intended it the way I interpreted it, he probably deserved it for the way he had been behaving. And, regardless, it was not so bad that it should have prompted whatever he said in response to get himself banned.

...gee, I saw that post last night and figured Dan was trying to make amends of some sort, maybe give the guy a chance to make a valuable contribution...so much for that....

anyway, Dan, if you want repost the question, there are probably quite a few bowhunters on this site that will offer some valuable advice (although, the best advice is to shoot them all and see what you like...)

The internet is an amazing animal.
No part of my question was anything more than trying to gather information on Bow's which I know very little about.
I decided to purchase one and have been to Bills Archery and MeanMallard looking at what they had. I kind of thought that with the name MSBOWMAN that he might acually bow hunt and could give me some insight on what to look for in a bow. I would have asked this question on deer south but it is down. Yet there are people on here that continue to look at each post regardless of how it is presented as an attempt to belittle someone or a poke to get them going.
I didn't see what the guy posted and if he went off he deserved to be removed. He even PM'd me calling me names and threating me to some extent. Like I have the ability to delete him..

Doesn't matter anymore I bought a Bow yesterday from Bills Archery.

What many need to realize is that simply because you read a post that may have come off one way to you could simply have been meant in an entirely different way. It is almost like many of you want it to be bad so that you have justification for a heated rebuttle.
