I got my first band 4 years ago on my very first duck hunt!!
My brother in law took me and we both killed Wood Duck drakes that were banded. I came home and ordered a dozen decoys and a call that day!!! Got my second band last Saturday 1/12/02 it was on a Greenhead!!

18 years w/o a band. Killed 1 last year and one this year. Both were killed a mile from each other. If I can keep up that rate I'll be one happy camper.

In 27 years I've only taken 2 banded ducks
the first a suzy probably 18 years ago & the
other a greenhead about 5 years ago. They do
provide fond memories kinda like the occaisional 2 birds with 1 shot thing.

Killed my first in 1968 Hunting with highschool buddy in McEntye Scatters. A mallard hen that after she had been shot landed in our boat. Not only was she banded she also had a transmitter wrapped around her body. Killed three since last day of 2000-2001 season. Two mallard drakes and a drake woodie. This is what keeps me hunting!Love that jewelry!
