No one is flaming you. I am not sure how anyone could look at anything I wrote as a flame. This IS a family friendly forum. If you don't think so, take a look around the 'net. The main board here is about as family friendly as I see out there for a general interest forum. A lot of folks gripe that they don't want to be limited to "only duck hunting posts." Well, if you as a group don't want only "Peter", you gotta be prepared to take at least a little "Paul" too.

The point is, don't expect the main forum to be surgically sterile. Some folks on here DO want this place to be just like a church service. I know this because I get the PM's that "XYZ post does not honor the Lord, move it now." And you look at the post, and just scratch your head.....

There is no way this, or any other forum, will be platonic and have no potentially feather ruffling content unless a bunch of people want to pay a membership fee in order to pay someone (other than me) to watch the place 24/7/365 with an instant delete button.

I see the validity of the point just fine. I also see that your daughter did not turn into the Medusa because of that exposure, and I also see that she will not do so with repeated exposures to it. I also see that your proptective nature is a parental thing and is overkill in a big way.

I never understood why parents think they are supposed to warp a kids mind by making reality something other than what it is for them. Most kids spend the first 5 years of their lives after they leave the house learning the differnce between what the world is, and the B.S. that their parents saw fit to make them believe.

My father taught me to cuss when I was 7, I didn't turn into the BTK killer and go to church in between killing people.

Well I've said it over and over here Seymore, almost every bit of the stuff that men like you find objectionable has absolutely not one shred of empherical eveidence to support yours and others claims that they are bad for your kids, bad for society, or bad for anything.

The only thing they are bad for (or good for depending on how you look at it) is causing people like you to raise hell about them. Other than that, they serve to do little but keep the river flowing.

If the objections had ANY substantiated support, well that would be different, and people like me would take them more seriously. But that is not the case, and myself and others get sick and tired of doing your way, just because YOU like it that way.



Why dont you open up a website for people like you? I'm sure you would do fine with it, and all these numb skulls around here who insisit on that crap would have a place to congregate without worrying the crap out of us normal people.

Again, I don't care what you are anybody else does on this forum. Turn it into a XXX rated, left wing, commie loving, spinner bashing, schizoid love fest for all I care. Not telling you or anyone else what to do, how to think, or what they can or can't say. My only point was that some content might be questionable to some who have kids that may see this forum. Those issues have been considered by those that run this forum and those individuals have taken what action they see fit to take. From that point it is up to me to decide what to do. I can either; 1) banish myself to the wilderness for cleansing 2) get mad and write long meandering post that bash others for not having the exact same view as I do or 3) visit the site after the kids are in bed. I choose option three.

I respect Micahs' and Gulfcoasts' decision and their position as owner and moderator of this forum, respectively. That was the first time I have seen porn on this board other than in the Duck Hole Gang Forum or when the site was hacked. I now know that despite all good intentions and efforts, this site will occasionally have what I consider questionable content that I don't want my daughters to see. The answer for me in this case is to view and contribute when my daughters are not around.

It has perplexed me as to why this has upset you so. Post whatever you want. It doesn't have to meet my standards for my standard are inconsequential , but, rather Micah's and Gulfcoast's standards of what is and is not appropriate.

With that Benny, I wish you a great weekend and continued success in your academic endeavors when school starts again.

I would much rather read what Benny has to say. At least he has something to offer whereas all you do is get on here and start trouble and call people names.

MSBowMan: In case you have not figured it out, we don't censor opinions, but will trim language and images. If Benny wants to point out that your position is hypocritical, he can do that. I will clean up the language a tad if necessary. Benny, unlike you so far, often contributes very worthwhile discussions to the board (and sometimes goes off to la-la land). He has been banned a couple of times, but we keep taking him back kinda like a wayward puppy! Contrition will take you a long way on this board.

If we got all the "rednecks" off the board, it would be pretty quiet in here! Perhaps if you would not be so thin skinned and judgmental you might have a little better time on this board. All I have see you do is stir the pot and contribute nothing. Kind of amusing that someone with your track record wants to have someone banned.
