Over/Under Shotgun Specialists, need some advice!!!
It's starting to kick in now that this gun is more of a want than a necessity, so it's probably going to be awhile before I decide. And since these are such great guns, it will be hard to find one used and for a good price.

Know what you mean about "wanting" more than "needing" GH22! I've "wanted" one for 10 or so yrs. and even went to buy one a couple of times, but I went through that same consideration every time. Finally, when I turned 50 this yr., I said to heck with it and got two guns I've been wanting! Hope you don't have to wait that long! "Worth" is a strange thing. It's a dang good thing we don't value our duck hunting success on a dollar value! The only thing I keep regretting about the O/U is that it doesn't have a sling for totin' gun and decoys in the woods. That 686 Onyx is sure sweet to shoot, though!

Put a sling on that over-and-under! I have one on my Citori and my #1 hunting buddies have them on their Beretta 686, Winchester 101 and Remington 3200, respectively. Who cares if it hurts the value if you're not going to sell the gun!

You can always get a soft case with a sling if you dont want to attach it to the gun itself.

Hey, Hambone...How does the sling attach above the fore end. Have no problem drilling the stock...I hunt with my guns and don't have any friends who would be offended by the indelicate treatment. I know some O/U (American Arms) come with a machined attachment, but just have never seen a slung O/U. Thanks.

I have a Browning 12ga o/u 3 in. and a Beretta 686 o/u 3.5 in. Both are great guns The Beretta is a little heavier but I prefer it for ducks because of the 3.5 capabilities. Browning has a 3.5 o/u but I have no experience with it. You can't go wrong either way!!! The best prices I have seen for either is at Whittaker's in Owensboro, KY. (270) 229-0140

OK, just got back from the local Wally World. They have two O/U's, a 12 and a 20 ga., Traditions by Fausti, made in Italy. I've never heard of these guns so I need some info on them, good and bad. I can get the 12 ga. for $500 and the 20 ga. for $750.

Man, I just FLAT give-up!....There's absolutely NO hope for you.
What do you want an O/U for anyway?

Well, I've got an automatic and a pump shotgun, thought it was time to get an O/U. I am planning on shooting a lot more clays in the future, plus using it for dove and rabbit hunting. The gun is a Traditions model, made by Fausti.

That's GOOD.....but don't scrimp on quality 'cause a cheap O/U is just another cheap gun. Meet me somewhere tomorrow, so's I can BEAT some sense into yo head, boy! Save you're money 'til you got enough to get what you know you'll be satisfied with......it'll last you a lifetime.....I mean where do you send a 'Faulsie' to have it serviced?

Hell if I know, I was just asking if anyone has had any experience with the guns. I may say to heck with the O/U and get a 3.5" auto.

GH22, check out this website... It is a great site if you know a FFL, in my case, one of my good friends is. Saved me some money. I bought an American Arms Silver II dirt cheap, beautiful gun. They are made in Spain and used to be European Arms before acquisition, now they are American European Arms or something like that. Anyway, just my 2 cents. WWW.gunsamerica.com, you can find anything you want on there.
