RIP Chris Ledoux

Postby Bourbon » Thu Mar 10, 2005 8:46 am

Chris Ledoux, rodeo champion and singer/songwriter, has passed away due to liver cancer. Lost a good man and a good entertainer.

When I was rodeoing, you didn't get in a truck that they didn't have a Ledoux tape in it. We were listeneing to him way before Garth made him popular. Gonna be missed by a lot of people. He was kind of the Phish of the rodeo world.

One of my all-time favorite Ledoux songs was "Seventeen". Will definitely miss his music.

He will be missed. My favorite song is probably the Hat or Riding for a fall or maybe County Fair. The list goes on and on. He was a great singer.

Best concert I ever went to was a Chris Ledoux concert.

like matador said, hard to go to a rodeo and there not be a Chris Ledoux CD in the truck, or i guess cassette. I've got alot of his old stuff and newer stuff, just a good guy writin music from his life experiences for the most part. In a world where everybody's worried about the $$ he was content with making HIS music. RIP Chris.
