You are not looking at all the Gator Trax boats. Not all of them are used with mud motors. I am getting on built with a 50hp outboard. I am sure a F&F is a good boat, but the design is not on the same level. It is a great boat comparing to a War Eagle, but don't fool yourself b/c You can get a 20'x50" with a 150 console or whatever. So there is nothing F&F can do that Gator Trax can't, but F&F can't do everything Gator Trax can. You can't imagine how the hull is superior until you use one. South La is the toughest terrain to use a boat and these are the top of the line.

You may be right, I just haven't really seen any like the ones you are refering to or going to buy. That is just something I guess I would have to see to believe. But until I owned an F&F, I wouldn't have even believed there really was a difference much, in boats at all. And to be honest, I have only seen a few Go Devils I guess. Or is that just the name of the shallow water outdrive rig ? Have you ever seen or ridden in an F&F ?
As far as terrain, unless you are having to deal with brackish water or salt water (which causes alot of different outboard problems), South Arkansas is the same terrain you are talking about---just a whole lot less of it. Duck moss, huge cypress trees and knees, spanish moss, flooded hardwoods (during the winter), coon-tail moss, mayhaw trees, alligators, coots, and %$%$ nutria rats----60,000 plus acres at winter "full pool". Ever heard of Felsenthal NWR, Beryl Anthony Wildlife Man. Area, Big Mossy Lake (which stinks like the paper mill), Little Cypress, Fish Lake, or Clear Lake ? They are on the AR-LA border around Crosset, Ar----North of Monroe on the Ouachta River. Not a big Stuttgart hunter, myself.
I used to haul seafood from down your way back up to the hungry folks in AR,TX, and N. LA. Where are you from down there ? I used to hit Houma, NOrleans, Des Allemands, Indian Ridge, went thru Dulac, all over the place ---even caught the NOrleans ice storm in the early 80's around Super Bowl Sunday that year. Had to lay over an extra day. Always felt at home down there---at least away from NOrleans.

You are the first one to say anything about it. I thought only my friends knew what duck meat was. So you are now my friend.

Yeah, I fell for that one, one time on a construction site burned by a guy I completely would have never expected it from-- in front of the whole crew that worked for me.
Completely out of character for him, from what I knew.

I mean----BURNED. It was so funny, I had to listen to it for weeks from them because they knew it had completely caught me off guard and embarassed me.

Hey, I saw a Gator Trax posted on Boats and motors forum if you know who it was that was looking.

How are the casino's in Vicksburg nowdays ? haven't been there in a few years--used to live in El Dorado , AR.--not all that far from vicksburg.
Go to Lula, Shreveport and Tunica now days.

See ya
