What a great way to end a bad year!

Just wanted to brag a minute about a great three days of hunting on our final Mississippi duck hunting trip of the season. My boys and mine previous trip was sad -- real sad. But we just had to try it one more time -- and all four of us are glad we did. After driving all night from Ga to Miss we sat in the break and never took our guns off safety. As much as we hated to do it -- we woke up the next morning to go back and do it again. But this time we struck gold -- or should I say greenheads. The next day we did it again. Slaying a heap of ducks for such a 'bad year' two days in a row. It made me question all the belly-aching I had done about the bad year -- you see, we want what we want exactly when we want it -- but mother nature and all her glory is one you can't demand from. She'll deliver her goods when she feels the time is right. A special thanks to my hunting buddies for putting up with me in the blinds but more importantly, thanks for getting us to the right spot to slay them ducks. I went to bed last night watching cupped wings land on the back of my eyelids -- never has there been a more beautiful sight to go to bed to.
