Dog Breeding ?

Postby one more pass » Tue Mar 01, 2005 2:21 pm

I have a male lab that I have agreed to breed with my neighbor's lab. They have played many times and my dog being the young male he is has tried to mount her many times but she has always fought him off. Well Friday we got them together and they immediately went at it about 6 different times. Well yesterday I took him back over and she fought him off. Wanted nothing to do with him. What are the chances she took the first round. Is this normal do the females fight the males off? Do we need to continue trying?

It appears that you have a black male... any female in her right might would fight back.

there's only gonna be about 4 or 5 days when she's in heat she'll take it.. just keep letting him hit and she'll eventually get knocked up
