Ole Miss Fans and Alumni

Postby deltacotton » Mon Feb 28, 2005 10:27 am

My brother; and Ole Miss alum; started this company in parternship with Ole Miss. He has been collecting acorns from the Grove and growing the seedlings in Louisiana. They will ship out in Sept. It is a really cool idea if you want to have a little of Ole Miss history planted at your home or farm.

I was wondering why there weren't as many squirrels in the Grove this Feb. for my annual squirrel hunt in the Grove. Someone took all the acorns. And the squirrels that are still there look pretty skinny and frail.

And, I would guess that both Archie and Eli have both rubbed each acorn prior to it's planting, right?

I think that this is a great idea!

An ice storm in the early 90's damaged many of the trees in the Grove, we planted an oak tree in front of Barnard Observatory at the corner of Student Union Drive and Grove Loop. 8)

I guess since i go to ole miss, I'll just pick up my own acorns next time i am in the grove. Great idea though. I am sure that there are plenty of folks who would pay top dollar for grove seed. Do they come with a certificate of authenticity? 8)

Mark, no one here wants to hear about you making out with fat, ugly chicks in the grove after dark. I guess it's kinda like what you told me awhile back...........fat girls are like moped's......they are fun to ride until one of your buddies sees you on top of one.

Tune in next tread for another lesson in GH22 self-paced abnormal psychology.
