I know something is way out of whack when my kids are walking to school in SHORT SLEEVED SHIRTS on January 16. The weather got us last year by freezing everything up...got us this year by not getting cold enough.

I hate to say it, but we're as good as done this year....maybe one last flurry, but I doubt it. I'll hunt the last couple of weekends, but basically I'm thinking about how to get set up for next year...

...maybe a round of golf at Whispering Woods would be in order, in shorts.

Oh I don't know, we're probably not quite through. A buddy and I managed to shoot three trophy ducks this moring. 2 Ringnecks and a Gadwall. Things are slow this year, we ain't culling nothing.

There were geese and a duck or two on the pond at Whispering Woods this morning. [img]images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img] Maybe we could get our limit before the first tee time....

Hunted in Delta Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Saturday had an awesome day. Sunday wasn't much to brag about but better than the rest of the year. Monday should have stayed in bed and dreamed of hunting. Hunted the same exact spot all 3 days.
