Good advice ( Beretta AL390 )

Postby limit6 » Tue Jan 15, 2002 11:13 am

I appreciate all the posts regarding the Beretta and I can say without shooting the one I bought yesterday that I think I will like it. I'm anxious to get out Saturday and test it on a few of our feathered friends.

I was surprised at how light it is. Of course I am comparing it to the Rem. 1187 I had which weighed a ton.

Thanks for all the info in the posts and for not turning it into a this vs. that argument.

limit6,
Glad you like it! Uncle Mike's makes a detachable sling kit for it if you don't care for that funky set Beretta has. Also futz around with the stock shims, if it doesen't shoulder properly, and ENJOY!

I had all but forgotten about the packing grease Beretta used on the AL390 until this post. What a mess! I hated that stuff!

But, like you said crow, once you get the grease off, it's the best auto on the market. I love mine.

Make sure you clean it thoroughly out of the box and use a good lubricant. Beretta uses some funky packing grease and it will not work well without the cleaning. Then get ready for a great experience!
