I hunt right on the outskirts of panther swamp, and there seems to be more and more birds in there every weekend, butthey are real call and decoy shy.Whatever you do don't put a robo or mojo duck in your decoys, if the wind aint blowing and you need som movement, use a wobbler or a jerk cord.

Buddies of mine went yesterday. Killed 4 or 5 woodies and a shovler. Saw the same thing we did where I was. Decoy/ Call shy high ducks moving somewhere else.

How high is the water? Can you make it down the pipeline on an atv?

Cannot make it down the pipeline on an ATV. I barely made it in to the parking spot. The road is pothetic. Where I went there was not a huntable population of birds. As of Friday, in the cardbox at the check in the most that had been logged in was a wood duck and 1 mallard. These card have been there for a while. If people are killing any birds they are not logging it. I saw a bunch of 0's.It is basically pothetic.

Dang, I sure would hate to paddle my pirogue back to my favorite spot. It's 3 miles in by four-wheeler. I think I will skydive in.

I'm packing my chute now, Wingman. I was going to come this past weekend to hunt, but based on the reports, I postponed. I have to come get all my stuff from my in-laws house ( I left it on pupose, just so I'd have to come back!) and, I guess, I might as well hunt while I'm back. Trying to decide whether to come this weekend or next. I may try next week for a 4 day trip/hunt. You up for stomping trough the swamp one of those days?
