There are a couple of guys in MS that have portable Helice "ZZ" launchers that set them up from time to time at charity shoots. I have seen them a couple of times at Kearney Park, I think it was.

Dunn's might have one.

They are basically a metal propeller with a plastic insert that looks just like a clay pidgeon. To "kill it" you have to hit it hard enought to knock out the plastic insert and do it so that it drops inside the 30 meter ring. Its kinda fun, since the flight is somewhat erratic.

I don't know him, that I know about. I don't go out of my way to shoot zz birds, but will shoot them if someone has a set up where I happen to be, so to speak. They emulate a hummingbird in the wind more than a duck or dove. Kinda fun to shoot when you get a chance, but usually costs $2 a shot at tournaments.

When the anti's came down on live pigeon shoots, ZZ's were supposed to offer an alternative. That's why you see the little fence ring set up around the traps.
