Central Delta ( Greenville area ) ???

Can anybody give me any general info about the duck numbers in this area. Heard reports that they were getting better this week.

Road through there today. Lots of mergansers and Nothern Shovlers on the catfish ponds. One area around Belzoni had a few mallards. Water has started to come down some. I think it will be hit or miss like the last couple weeks.

I have spent a good amount of time in the last couple weeks riding and scouting around the Hollandale area. Not seeing alot of activity other then alot of new snow geese moving into the area. Areas that traditionally hold waterfowl are empty this year due to the banner crop of INSURANCE COTTON that was planted in the area this year. Understand there are a good many ducks north of us on places like Tallahatchie Refuge. Will let ya know if we ever get a push of ducks here, but don't think that is likely with season ending in 3 weeks and no cold weather forcasted for the midwest!
