Special hunt for disabled hunter.

My father is my best friend and my favorite hunting partner, unfortunately after 5 massive heart attacks he had half of his heart removed several years ago. He loves duck hunting but he is really bogged down. He cannott walk to far and he cannot stand too long, he shoots a 20 gauge because a 12 wears him out. I try to adjust my hunting style so he can go as much as possible, but as you know an easy spot to hunt is usually either taken or hunted heavy. We hunt out of a boat some and that works great but I was wondering if any guide services made special accomadations or rates for disabled hunters. Some one I can depend on. A really class guide service.

I feel certain that most any good guide service would be able to drive him to a good blind on a 4 wheeler or 6 wheeler so he would not have to do any walking.

Buckshot Duck Lodge at Gillette, Arkansas is first-class. Jimmy Hackney, one of the owners, is in a wheelchair due to a farming accident. He is a very avid duck hunter who is quite familiar with the needs you describe. We hunted there the weekend after Thanksgiving. They delivered us to the edge of the pit by trailer behind a four-wheeler-no walking required. I dunno. I never heard of a 12 guage only rule. Very few young kids shoot a 12. My wife uses a 20, and she can outshoot any guide we have hunted with, except Delta Duck. I would be STUNNED if the 20 guage thing mattered.

How 'bout it Wingman and Delta Duck, others: Would y'all dink the guy just for shooting a 20 guage.
