mdh - thanks for pointing that site out. I think it is the best waterfowling weather site out there. When you select the nexrad regionals and choose animate, look at the area in the triangle from Little Rock to Forrest City to Pine Bluff Ark. You'll notice that there is building trash around all medium and large cities (Memphis, Little Rock, Jackson, Tupelo). That same type of trash exists in the triangle that I mentioned. Could this be geese and ducks? There sure aren't any big buildings out there and it's flat as a board. If you throw a dart in the middle of that triangle, it will land on Stuttgart, DeWitt, etc. Pretty cool. Maybe I am crazy.

The bad news is, there aint sheeeeeeiiiiitt concentrated in MS if this theory holds true.

Wildfowler - what's your take on it? Did any ducks move in on that jet stream? The peak winds were heading straight down the big ditch...hah!

Look at the one week forcast. If the outlook holds true, we'll be shooting bluewings headed north before the season ends.

Looking forward to next year...I have written this one off.

TUESDAY I went there and saw a lot of green and yellow around the whiteriver area. Ive got yahoo messenger and went too the ark room , hooked up with a guy names duckbear in south ar. Ask him what the weather was like over there he said was gonna be a blue bird day. So Im just going to guess what I saw were duck and geese in the air @ daylight. From what I can tell is that rain usally show up as dark green. I'm still gonna have too play around with it awhile to get it down but Its the best weather site I have found for what I want one for hehehehehehe......... glad I could help

I don't know much about the jet stream, but I do know that I finally shot a Mallard at one of my regular spots this morning. I too have written off this season for the year. Heck, I won't even have to buy shells next year. I bought 3 cases at the beginning of this year (based on last year's results). Haven't even opened two of them.

I'm not quite ready to take up deer hunting again just yet, but if I keep jumping big bucks on the way back to my boat I just might. Apparently those things are much easier to hunt than ducks. That's my fourth one to jump this year within easy shotgun range, I guess that as long as I use my shotgun to shoot deer it makes it ok?
