Damn A Benelli!!!!!
Yes, you read it right. Many of you on here have seen me post about what a good gun the SBE is. I was wrong. After having to replace the same part that broke twice this season, I had something totally unexpected happen. The first duck of the morning comes in and I take aim and shoot. My damn SBE fires and literally falls apart in my hands. The round part on the underside of the barrell that slides onto magazine completely broke off. Luckly the barrel fell in the boat and not the water. I have no idea what would cause such a thing to happen, but it did. I talked to another hunter at the boat ramp that has had to replace different broken parts on SBE his this season. Anyone else want to share a story about their overpriced piece of crap?

Don, I'm thinking that if you stop using it as a club to fend off the dreaded camino crew's chessie and just shoot the damn thing this wouldn't have happened
Did you drop the duck?
Big donut head has a pump you could use for the time being.

At times there is not a satisfactory substitute for well-aimed lead going down range at high velocity.

Hey Mark my bps worked fine this morning. Sorry to hear your hunt got screwed. Time to get the 11-87 back out. You shot the hell out of it anyway. Went this morning to the lake and shot a double first off. Two shots two Greenheads. Pongo made a double retrive. I was proud. Shot another greenhead I thought fell dead and while I was shooting at the fourth it must of swam off. The dog tried but we couldn't find it. Remind me to save that third shot for a watershot. Well thats all I did except for miss some sprigs on a fly-by. Came out to four gamewardens trucks. They were nice which is usually not the case. One of them I kinda know and he is looking for a white lab. If you know of any let me know. Sorry again about your hunt. Break out the 11-87 one day left!!!!!

I have had mine for almost 10 years now. Shot literally thousands up on thousands of rounds through it, including probably 5 cases of 3 1/2" duck loads. This year I had the first problem ever. The ejector "thingy" the little bar that slides back on the inside of the receiver a distance depending upon which shell you are shooting 2 3/4", 3", or 3 1/2". That little arm broke clean off. It would shoot, only not throw the shell out. I got it fixed and am back to business as usual. I wouldn't get too hyped up on jumping on the benelli bashing bandwagon. A buddy of mine bought a brand new 1187 last year and right out of the box that hunk-a-junk wouldn't eject a shell....I'm talking about manually pulling the action back to unload the gun...it wouldn't even do that....it would mangle the shell, and hang up...stuck. He got that fixed...cost him as much to have a local gunsmith do it as it would have cost him to ship it off to one of their repair centers. This year while mine was out of commission (getting fixed..had to order the part...took a week) I shot his...had to spray it twice during the hunt in order for it to cycle a shell into the chamber.

Well, my $250.00 Charles Daly pump is still goin strong. But I do need a good boat paddle
Seriously, though, it seems a company that lauds their quality would make it right for you.
