Beavers
Does anyone know of someone who traps beavers? They are way out of control. Any other ideas are welcomed. We have enough to keep someone busy for a while. Will gladly pay per head or something if successful. Tallahatchie County

I think Ronnie Norwood is still trapping beavers for USDA in the north delta. Give Wildlife Services a call at their Stoneville or Starkville office to see if they have a guy for Tallahatchie county.

Re: Beavers
Just an update, we bought our own traps and decided to head this off ourselves. Caught about 30 so far. Plus 5 otters and three muskrats. Really starting to see a difference in activity and dam activity. Hopefully we get an early spring and dry summer and can really isolate them and beat them down more.

If you want something done right...........
Congratulations, not as easy as it looks, and a lot of work. I halfway started trapping, then realized the time commitment and said fuggetaboutit.

Re: Beavers
I thought about taking up predator trapping, coyotes and bobcats, but my club is an hour away and couldn't check the traps like I should. At one time there was a group of guys that came down from up North to trap beavers in Monroe county. The county paid per head to stop them damaging roads by stopping up culverts or they used to pay.
