Bumping this topic to thank everyone who shared stories about the scatters. Been hunting there for 21 years but never knew the history of the place.

My son and I visited the Jordans last week on the 29th which is my sons birthday. They are the nicest folks you will ever meet. Mrs. Jordan said Son hasn’t made a call in over a year since his stroke and that he can no longer see well enough to turn one. She said she has a cabinet where she had stockpiled some for “rainy day income” and that there might be a few left. I asked Mr. Son if I might buy one for me and another for my son and he said sure! We went to the cabinet and there were only three left. I bought the last wood for me and an acrylic for my son leaving one acrylic in the cabinet. I apparently got the last wood call he ever turned. They are doing pretty well health wise and LOVE to have visitors. Me. Son hit the beaches at Saipan, Okinawa, and Guam. Said Saipan was the worst with mountainous terrain and extreme temps both ways.

Visited him recently as well. He's a fine man. Knows a few things about duck hunting too.

Just to put this back up, I just remembered that I met Frankie Tumenello several years ago at the Greentree ramp after a hunt. He had an old old Mallardtone around his neck and I got him to blow a series for me. Sounded GREAT! Glad I got to meet him.
