Democratic thoughts
Serious question.
With all the hate on republicans and the rich and yada yada.
All this free chit. Where does it come from?
I seriously want to know. Do the rich just give us poor bloaks what we desire without any effort?

Re: Democratic thoughts
It can come from a couple places. Borrowing or taxing those that work for a living.
Re: Democratic thoughts

Re: Democratic thoughts
Just listened to Bernie Sanders on Joe Rogan podcast...Part of Sander's plan is to heavily tax Wall Street and big business..Claims the increased taxes on Wall Street alone will be enough to eliminate student loan debt. On the big business side of things...I was very surprised to hear Amazon paid no federal income tax in 2018.. Sanders gonna tap into that!!

The sad part is a good portion of AMZN employees will vote for him, having no clue.deerhunt1988 wrote: Sanders
I have a close friend that is a Bernie supporter. He complains about the fact that many of his child hood friends just can’t get ahead and they’ll never be able to make the amount of money they want. This guy grew up lower-middle class. His parents actually won the lottery, not millions, but a large sum. He went to a nice private college, left debt free. His parents now have money problems. Hes brilliant and does very well as a 30-year old. He laments often that hes barely able to afford his house and, this, gives about $100 a year to The United Way. He is amazed I would trust a church to steward my money, offerings, donations to good causes. This is all just anecdotal. But Bernie seems to have somehow brainwashed some otherwise good folks.
A candidate could get my vote by first admitting that this country’s problem is, first and foremost, a lack of morality.

I listened to part of the Rogan podcast and if you are not careful Bernie can be somewhat convincing on certain things. I was surprised.....

Re: Democratic thoughts
That’s how it all got started. Been listening to talk radio for some reason, guess bp ain’t high enough, but heard one of them talking about the 1 percenters.
And guns of course. And on and on.
I can’t understand it myself. Cal, you might be correct. Don’t qualify for nothing and have to pay for most everything I have. Well hell, everything.
Just wondering if someone really believes that money, achievements, and so on are gifts. I guess so, but can’t wrap my hand around it. Seems like it’d take the goals of life off the table leaving a poor shell of a life. I’m just not geared that way.
Anyway, this is going to be a very important election.

God bless you.
I can’t stand any of em. I’m pretty much a single issue voter anymore — 2A.
If you’re a hard worker and not happy with what you’re making, head to the Gulf Coast of LA and TX. Hard workers that can pass a drug test are always in demand. Any attributes beyond that are lagniappe. Every day I see corporate tax cut money making it to the pockets of folks with only a HS diploma.

I was too, expected him to be way more 'out there'. Kept hoping he'd give his definition of 'assault weapon'.JLT wrote:I listened to part of the Rogan podcast and if you are not careful Bernie can be somewhat convincing on certain things. I was surprised.....

I know.....I want to ask one of them if they have any idea of the damage an 870 pump with OO buckshot could do in a crowd

You’re exactly right, and John Adams agrees, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other”stang67 wrote:The sad part is a good portion of AMZN employees will vote for him, having no clue.deerhunt1988 wrote: Sanders

Re: Democratic thoughts
A work acquaintance uses that as his email signature. It’s a powerful, powerful statement.
Re: Democratic thoughts
Absolutely, as communist ideals always SOUND good, otherwise they would seldom rise to power. Make no mistake, that’s all Bernie is- a communist.JLT wrote:I listened to part of the Rogan podcast and if you are not careful Bernie can be somewhat convincing on certain things. I was surprised.....
