Thanks for those maps. What is the Mississippi river elevation at Vicksburg during flood stage of 43 feet?

Thanks

Gauge zero at Vicksburg is 46.2 feet. So 43 feet on the Vicksburg gauge would be 89.2 feet above sea level. If that's what you're asking.

Would be nice to see a map of the flood coverage area at the proposed pumping elevation of 88' with a cropland and forest lands overlay to see all these "wetlands" the environmental groups are claiming the pumps will drain.

Thanks. I just wanted to know what the equivalent elevation was to what’s considered flood stage as a gauge reading.

Yes, I would like to see that also. I think some of my prior beliefs were based on either bad information or a complete lack of understanding of what the elevations were.

That was posted on their facebook page back in March of 18. Also, some of yall may want to chime in on this piece of propaganda.

Good arguments on both side. It's been a pissing contest for a long time and will continue for a long time i expect.

It seems that some sort of compromise could be reached but both sides are hung up on a "pump start elevation" .
One group should let it be later and the other should let it be sooner but that is called compromise and we dont seem to be very good at that anymore.

I have actually read the reformulation document and the opposing side rebuttals...........both are not flawless documents so there is room for movement.
