they must be 100mph bungees. Someone needs to learn a little bit about leverage. Cause securing the rear edge of the hood seems like a great way to get a high speed blindfold.

I think the front latch works, but looks like the rear hinges are unhinged...may be like my old 'vette and hood opens from the rear, modded while performing other "body work" (hook slits) on the hood.

Its holding my fender on, cops told me I had to have one. I put the fender in the trunk on the interstate.

It looks to me like they bought a salvaged hood from a newer or older model year. Notice how the surface styling or swage lines don’t match (fender to hood).
Those are typically the body parts that change during a minor model change.

On another note, I’ve been behind the wheel on 2 occasions when the hood flew open & covered the windshield. Fade to black is not fun at 70 mph!
