Milwaukee Tool - Greenwood, MS

Postby SB » Tue Mar 12, 2019 7:20 am

Anyone know if they have an outlet type store there? I’m looking to buy a batter operated leaf blower and thought I might try to stay in a brand I could use the battery across multiple tools, drill, weed eater, etc.

Any input about other brands and tools is welcome.

Not sure if they have an outlet, but Teul2 works there & can probably help you. My phone crashed so I don’t have his number at the moment.

What’s the reviews like on them?

Money aside, the stihl lineup have introduced a battery option with their commercial line. Quick charges, seems to last, yada yada. It’s caught my eye as the name stihl and being in the lawn industry just go together. Just priced them after I read this. Expensive would be an understatement.

If u do go with the Milwaukee post up a review! I’ve got to replace my blower sometime and battery powered tools seem to be appealing to me. Be nice to find one that would power a weed eater also.

PM received.

I used to would not have considered batter powered lawn equipment. Somehow the wife ended up with a cheap battery powered weed eater about 10 years ago. It was handy for a city yard. The wife could use it when she wanted too.

I’m thinking about getting a batter powered weed eater and blower for the convenience factor. If I can use the battery from another tool like a drill that is a big plus. I don’t use a battery powered drill enough to keep the battery in shape. A down side is it looks like companies are changing battery styles somewhat frequent, every 2-3 years?

Scott, we don't have a store at any of our MS plants (Jackson, Greenwood, or Olive Branch).

I can give you some insight on those products though. The Blower is the bees knees. Lite and strong. I don't have the weed eater, but all my coworkers that do say they love it as well or better than a gas model. I just can't get rid of a perfectly good Stihl even if it is heavier. I do have the hedge trimmer too. I LOVE that thing.

And yes, the draw is the interchangeable battery that will work with over 175 different tools. Anything from a 1 amp hour battery, to a 12 a/h that will run anything you want for longer than you want to hold on to it. Shoot me a text. I'll give you the downlow.

I found an M12 Fuel set with drill, impact etc on the clearance rack at HD. That thing is awesome.

But if I buy a battery operated blower, trimmer, etc., I’m afraid they’ll ask for my man card as payment.

Wildfowler - That is the point. The more yard work I can enable her to do the better we both will be.

Tuel - I'll get up with you. I can't relinquish my Stihl weed eater either.

I wouldn't mind having a couple of battery powered yard tools.....for the wife.

Ego makes awesome battery powered outdoor equipment. I have tested multiple units of theirs as they are a competitor, and they all preform very well.

Milwaukee makes some very nice tools. I have the drill small and big impact and the light on the stand. The small battery is nice for small jobs but make sure you get one of their big batteries for a blower or weed eater.

Yea, but that same battery doesn't fit your drill, impact, table saw, dual bevel compound miter saw, backpack drain snake, band saw, stand light, orbital sander, or rotary hammer.
