Cindy Hyde Smith - Duck Season Ends Jan.31

Postby booger » Wed Feb 27, 2019 6:11 pm

Our Senator got this passed in both the Senate & the House.

Now it's my understanding that this is on the Donald's desk waiting on his signature. I think that's right?

While I really, really like the season ending later, I'm very leery of politicians meddling in any hunting season. Next time they could screw us.

It also adds two more days for youth and two more days for active military and vets. I don't quite understand how that works in relation to the 60 day season.

What say you Ducksouth brothers?
Them ducks is wary. We now resume our regularly scheduled forum melee in progress.

Long overdue. Like you I’d rather the biologist make all wildlife decisions. Unfortunately politics get in the way.

I'm glad to see it.

It was back in the 90's when Governor Kirk Fordice refused to sign off on USF&W purchasing land for the Tallahatchie NWR unless they gave us the later season, that we got the last Sunday in January, from the old mid January closing dates.

As a veteran, I am VERY glad to see that we get 2 extra days like the youth.
