Farm Land Leasing
What is the average rate that land owners can get per acre for row crop? This particular tract is between Benton and Bentonia. Good soil but no irrigation access. Trying to get ball park. I know what I get in Covington county but unfamiliar in this area.

I have no first hand info, or even second or third hand, but this site has some listings that suggest cash rent in the $200s per acre.

Re: Farm Land Leasing
That area I would say $65 - $125 depending on size, fertility, past management, drainage, etc.

The farmer owns the land. That is a lease spot, and that is about the going rate. He plants as much as I want to pay for.missed mallards wrote:That’s what the landowner gets? I’m assuming your talking gross to the farmer?GET-N-RITE wrote:500-600 for corn. I'm about 4 hours north of you.
I am the owner of another place, and it is planted in 2 acres of corn. I do not pay the farmer anything nor does he pay me for the 20 acres he plants, and harvest.
Re: Farm Land Leasing
I don't think the OP is asking about lease prices for duck hunting. I think he's looking for lease prices to lease his property to a farmer.GET-N-RITE wrote:The farmer owns the land.
