I have no idea what would happen to the housing market if minimum wage suddenly had the same purchasing power as it did in the 60's but I would caution that before that happened regulations must be put in place so that speculators didn't skyrocket the cost of housing and everything else and simply eat it all up from another direction.

I agree it surely does, and it is just a damn shame that in this country that is what it would take to put the American Dream back within the reach of normal Americans.

I'm sure you think scratching that $1.5 trillion dollar tax break for the top 10% and replacing it with a 90% tax rate on all new income while removing all income taxes from all citizens and business owners who make less than $250K profit a year is just plain nuts. Yeah that sounds just nuts, go look at what pulled us out of the great depression.....

Aaah well I believe it was more like $400,000,000, paid off an old debt for military goods that the Sha of Iran, you know, the oil company teet sucker, had paid for but never collected.
And a spitton in the bucket of the $3 billion paid out after the Sha completely collapsed the Iranian government and led to the archaic religious Rebellion that changed the country back into dark ages, precipitated the legendary hostage situation, and prompted them to arm with nuclear weapons so the west could not do that to them again...

Many may not even know that in the process of Iran sticking their butts in the face of America and their imperialistic quest for oil, we actually gave a regional up and newcomer some weapons, a lot of weapons, including the ingredients and instructions for making mustard gas, to fight with those pesky Iranian's who were mostly Shiites and not to amused by his antics. He later used those weapons to gas his own people, killing thousands of Kurd's when they saw an opportunity to revolt against him and his army which later became ISIS after he was killed.


What do I think about it? Well, it's certainly not Obama kissing Iran's booty.......

HERE let's show a few people what actually happened in Iran until 1953 when the USA got involved in their affairs.

He was the head of a democratically elected government that was illegally removed in a CIA coup,holding office as the Prime Minister of Iran from 1951 until 1953, when his government was overthrown in a coup d'état orchestrated by the United States' Central Intelligence Agency and the United Kingdom's Secret Intelligence Service.
He was replaced with the Sha of Iran, a greedy horrible "turd-cutter" who brought the nation to it's knees.

This is what the people who lived in Iran looked like when this man (Mohammad Mosaddegh) was running stuff, and before the CIA installed the Sha Of Iran as their teet sucking henchman. It was a modern society right on par with western civilization.
