It's better than it was, yes, but it is not a fair shake with the 1.5 trillion given to the big boys and as long as over 50% of congress and the senate are millionaires, you are right, it's about all you are going to get. But that's not enough, not even close to enough as our infrastructure crumbles and a lot of other serious problems. 4% of corporate companies did things to make life better for their employees. The rest just walked with the profits, even buying back their own shares to increase their own profits. It's not enough.
AgreedCitizens united was the worst thing to happen to this countries politics in 100 years, and it is the worst CS decision in history. It has to go. Tax payers have to pay for elections, period.
Disagree. We must maintain the electoral college lest Middle America completely lose any political clout. Ensuring that all Americans have at least some representation was pivotal to the beliefs of the men who wrote the Constitution. And while we are at it, no more electoral college.
Also, the Democrats were given a golden opportunity last election. Trump is the most disliked candidate the Republicans have ever selected, yet they somehow managed to screw it up with their own internal party corruption. I can guarantee that Democrat voter turnout was 3-5% lower because party members were disaffected by how they rigged the primaries against Bernie and in favor of Hillary - who became the most disliked candidate they ever put forward. Just because they managed to turn a pot of gold into a $#!+ sandwich is no reason to overturn the Electoral College.
