Flooding
Anybody flooded out yet. I got a few friends that have camps that are about to get water in the buildings. No relief for them until Steel Bayou opens.
Re: Flooding
Good chance for backwater levels higher than we’ve seen in about 35 years.

Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

Re: Flooding
I assume they are talking about the backwater area. For that area it is the worst since 95 or 96 I believe. There are places flooding in that area that did not flood as bad in 2011.Buckwabit wrote:So why are they saying the worst flooding in 35 years? Re: Flooding
This is on the backwater side, opposite side of the levee from the Big Muddy. We don’t normally get so much rain with the river so high. Anybody seen the reservoirs lately?

Re: Flooding
On the protective side of the yazoo river levee in the belzoni area, the back water is about 3 feet higher than it was during 11.

Wingman has some aerial photos of the flooding on his Facebook page if anyone is interested in looking and you know who he is.

I saw somewhere earlier that the gates are predicted to open on or about the 23rd.7ducks wrote:Got water in places I've never seen it......hope they open the gates soon.Wildfowler wrote:On the protective side of the yazoo river levee in the belzoni area, the back water is about 3 feet higher than it was during 11.

Re: Flooding
I checked my gate today, don’t know if it’s open or not but the gauge reading is the same on both side so it could be open and there’s just no current?

Re: Flooding
Apparently the levee has broke somewhere on a Mahannah.

Source? I would think that to be a pretty major event not to be all over the news.mshunter77 wrote:Apparently the levee has broke somewhere on a Mahannah.
