Delta Hunting Clubs

I have heard of two south delta hunting clubs selling in the past 2 weeks for some big money. I have heard one sold for $10 million and other for $13 million supposedly by an investment group out of Monroe. Anyone know anything about this sale?

Which ones? I wouldn’t touch South Delta hunting land right now, unless it were a fire sale.

Is Whiting Bayou the old Anderson Tully WMA?

I don't think Whiting Bayou was part of Anderson Tully WMA but it's the same block of woods. VZ Smith and Ms. Delta Sportsman Alliance are also in that same block.

Yep. I’ve heard of Veazey Smith. Is that whole block of timber ATCo land?

I think that whole block of timber was ATCO. Rumor is IP bought it. The Harmony and Tallula camps are under contract with a group of individuals.

So these were tracts currently owned by ATCO that they sold? Where were they located in comparison to Steele Bayou and the prominent WMA? Got several friends that hunt that area. Not sure I recall either of those names. Whiting Bayou sounds a little familiar. I know of Whiteline Hunting camp. Could you PM me the info?

Whiting Bayou is on up hwy 1 toward Shipland WMA. And Forestaire is the one you’re thinking of. Not sure on the others.
