Not sure what is considered normal ag practice in regards to broadcast/lbs an acre. Maybe 50 lbs and acre, would depend on seed size also.

We always broadcast a bunch and see what happens. Some years good hunts, some years not.

If planting seed wheat for spring harvest, the normal seeding rate is 90-150 lbs. per acre......depends on whether drilling or broadcasting, and soil type.

I believe the manual says 80/ acre, safest bet would be 50

For doves, 80 lbs. is just fine.....but, you won't find many Delta farmers planting only 80 lbs. of seed wheat, if they are planning to harvest it.
