Re: jackson hole Wyoming
What are you looking to do? If you're going to flyfish, send me a PM and I can give you my notes on nearly every stream in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and what patterns to use.
Everything in Yellowstone closes at 9 or 10 PM except for the bars at Canyon Village, Mammoth, and the Old Faithful Inn, so make plans to eat dinner by 8:30 at the latest.
Grand Prismatic is the best looking hot spring and much more interesting than Old Faithful IMO; if you detest huge crowds and Asian tourists with no sense of personal space and privacy, avoid the latter. Pelican Valley trail is the prettiest hike in the park, but you can only hike from 7 to 7 due to high bear density. If you want to see wolves, head to the Hayden Valley or go past Canyon and drive along the northeast entrance road.
There's really so much to do that I could help you better if I had an idea of what you want to do.

Go eat breakfast at Nora's Fish Creek Inn one morning. Its in Wilson. If you are looking for a nice place to have a drink and enjoy a nice view go to Amagani.

Don't wear anything with trump on it if you support him. Seems they made the news today for taking down a portrait of him as they did Obama and said trump isn't someone to celebrate etc.

Forget fishing the Snake till August maybe, record snow melt.

In the park the Madison, Gibbons, Firehole, are fishable but lil high and stained....I didn't catch a fish. Idaho/ Henry's Fork best game in town but 1.5 hrs away. The horse ride in Herriman Park goes thru a duck factory/ moose.
Northeast of Ylstn park for wildlife....
The Madison last Tuesday....

Need binocs or zoom camera for wildlife.

Make sure to spend some time in the Grand Teton National park.
Re: jackson hole Wyoming
You must eat the Eskimo Bars at the Snake River Grill. The best dessert that I have ever had. You can google it. It was on the Food Network a few years ago.
Re: jackson hole Wyoming
My wife loves Lake Louise in Teton National Park.

The Cowboy is worth a visit. Fun swing dance lessons every Thursday before the band starts at 9; one night I even learned how to flip my dance partner. Get there before 7 and you can have a burger and a PBR for $6. It's the best place to get a decent, not overpriced burger since Billy's Giant Hamburgers closed about 7 years ago. Also, you get to sit on a saddle at the bar.mallardchaser wrote:http://www.milliondollarcowboybar.com/phone/index.html
Also worth considering for drinks and live music is The Virginian; you're more likely to run into an actual ranch hand there or at Cutty's.
For a good steak or wild game dinner, the Gun Barrel is a good choice. It's in what used to be the Wyoming Wildlife Museum, and when they converted it to a restaurant in the 90s, they kept the majority of the mounts and dioramas.
For a dinner with a great view, the side porch at Dornan's provides unobstructed views of the Tetons and Antelope Flats at affordable prices. The Mural Room at Jackson Lake lodge has the best of Mt. Moran, Skillet glacier, and the surrounding Tetons, but it's very pricey.

Don't know when you're going, but if you're there on July 4th, they put on an awesome fireworks display....I swear, it was big non-stop fireworks for a solid 45 minutes, on the hillside, just west of the city limits.
And, the town has a big rodeo, each week, I think it's on Thursday nights.
On July 5th of that year, we rented a car and drove up to Old Faithful, and it snowed on us so hard, we couldn't see outta the windshield.....wow, talk about a change from this stifling July heat and humidity in MS !!!!!
And, if ya'll are into it, try to sneak in a fishing trip.
