Then the broker tells the REC that beavis showed it to a black family and police are lying about what beavis told them.

?
That's about it. Now, why the police are lying, I have no idea. But I can see why Beavis would tell their boss (the Broker) they showed the house to a black family, they don't want to risk losing their job. But the first step to getting yourself out of a hole that you have dug yourself into is to quit digging.

How the two dudes morphed into a family of three, I have no idea. If I could figure that out, I'd morph my house into something a whole lot nicer than it is.

I will keep you posted as I am awaiting the next installment/verdict.

are the police lying to someone about what beavis told them, or is the broker saying the police are lying about what beavis told them?

Beavis is saying that what the police report shows is not what Beavis said. Even though, what Beavis said to the police is the same thing that Beavis said to my Realtor.

Of course, Beavis does not want to lose their job, so they are going to say to their boss that the individuals were a family of three, and not the two home remodeling gentlemen mentioned earlier. But in so doing, Beavis is making me, my Realtor, and the police out to be liars. Ah, the travails of the real estate sales world.

This very statement makes this whole thread worth keeping up with.

Spoke with the Real Estate Commission Investigator earlier today. He stated that his results will be going to their attorney, hopefully today or tomorrow, based on what additional information he can get from Clinton PD, if any. He also told me that his report WILL note the fact that Beavis' statement to the police differs greatly from the statement given to the Commission.

He also sounded upset that the broker refused to give me any information regarding their E&O insurance carrier. According to him, they should give me that information because failure to do so is interference. Of course, that would require these people being up-standing and professional.

Aaaah, the plot thickens.

This weekend was spent getting the house ready to close on Thursday. (Please pray for that, by the way.) As I was cleaning up on Saturday from three days of repair work and such, I had a chance to speak with a couple of my neighbors who SAW THE WHOLE THING!! Yep, according to two witnesses, Beavis was there with the aforementioned "Home Remodeling Gentlemen" while they were stealing my furniture. One of the neighbors stated she went up to Beavis and said they were taking the furniture and asked if she needed to call the police. Beavis' response? "That's ok, they are buying the house."

Yeah, I made sure that the neighbor's statements were given to the police.

Now, do any of you legal eagles wanna make a suggestion as to what my next steps should be? You can't make this up!

And to top it off, when I let the Mississippi Real Estate Commission know this today, they informed me that the Broker sent in Beavis' Real Estate License because Beavis is no longer working for that Broker, nor is Beavis in the Real Estate Bid'ness any longer. Go figure.

(I still can't get their E&O insurance information.)

The broker is still on the hook!! He is 100% responsible for his sales people. He better start working with you, or he will lose his brokers license. I can assure you that the MREC does not play around.

It should also be on file with the MREC. It's a requirement. Unless his broker failed to make sure he had it...... I have a feeling said broker won't be a broker much longer.

My advice is you need a lawyer to send a nice little letter to broker. I guarantee your problems will be resolved rather quickly. You have one that is familiar with the case. PM and I can provide his contact information.

Neighbors are scheduled to go to po-po tomorrow and give oral and written statements. They will also be shown a photo line up with Beavis' picture in the mix. Then it is up to the judge.
