Time to Rate the 2016-2017 season
Re: Time to Rate the 2016-2017 season
The first two thirds were essentially a zero duck pffffffftttt affair for me, the last part was awesome. Made me forget all about my earlier woe. Mathematically it's a 3, but I only remember the good times, so can I give it a 7?
Them ducks is wary. We now resume our regularly scheduled forum melee in progress.

I didn't hunt as many days as I usually do, but we faired well most of the season. My dad decided to come out of retirement and now has the itch again. Overall, it was a fun season and I'm thankful for the time I was able to spend with family and friends.

Nyssa
If you hunt public land, hard work can lots of time (most of the time) be the difference between killing or not. Whether that means being first in line for the 4 am rule, watching the ducks and learning where they want to be or making a death march to get away from the crowds. I think champ was only stating 90% of his success was on public, not on a big donors "fancy" spot.

I can vouch for that. And, as the guy who taught him about certain public lands I'd kick his butt if he posted pics of public birds. He's known better since he was 12 when I used to float him into the woods on a trash can lid and an inner tube.mallardchaser wrote:Nyssa

That's why the only pics you see are the private land birds. I assure all it's not his normal day.

9 only because I didn't get jewelry.

Just too hot. There were ducks around, but I just don't feel it when its spring like. Think I went 5 days in total. Those were all great. I'll give it a 5.

Good days---10
Bad days---9.9
Really, there's no such thing as a bad day, when you're able to just be out there !!!
