Let's pay tribute to one of the old classic's http://www.ducksouth.com/phpbb/viewtopi ... 23&t=27815
by starting a new one. Maybe it will liven this joint up some!
How many SEC fans (other than bammers) will admit to pulling for tide last night?

Re: ROLL TAHD.....part deuce
I will admit that for once I did not pull for the SEC in the title game. Sorry, Bama fans. I was just sick of it. I actually think that the run Alabama has in a way hurt college football on a national level, and has most definitely hurt it on a regional level in the south. I will give props to Saban and his staff, it's not really their fault but more a result of their system which no one has found a way to compete with.

As a Bama fan I agree that it was good for college football for me son to win. Just glad it was not OSU or Michigan. Dabo seems to be a stand up guy and runs a good program. Was one heck of a game. Bama D got gassed and Clemson WRs made some awesome catches.

You sound like a typical Bama fan.... I'm sorry I forgot... You are a typical Bama fan.
I never said they didn't work hard, I never said they didn't earn it, so don't put words in my mouth. If anything I gave them a compliment due to the successful system they have had. I like Saban as a coach and person and think he gets a bad wrap due to his success... All I said was that it's not necessarily good for the entire sport for one team to be so dominant, and I think it takes viewership and excitement away from the sport. I would say the same thing about UConn in women's bball.

To be honest, no one. At least no one that will admit it. It was just the only analogy I could come up with at the time..... However last i heard State was pretty good, haha.mshunter77 wrote:You had me until the women's basketball part. I get it completely and agree. It's like when the Yankees dominated baseball for so long. Every time you turned on ESPN it was the Yankees.
