Ag Pilot
Ag Pilot
Hunted in NW Quitman County Friday and Saturday. We had ag pilot flying same route very close to our property lines most of afternoon Friday and all morning Saturday, flaring quite a few ducks in the process. The only reasons we could come up with were 1) Doing some sort of training/certification with students 2) Flying with a game warden 3) Planting a late crop of winter wheat. Does anyone have any thought or insight as to what was going on?

Re: Ag Pilot
Most likely was spraying fall burndown preemerge, could have been planting wheat but not real likely.

Are you close to a landing strip?

Yes. There is one a few miles to the west of us. Still found it unusual for plane to be up this time of year.novacaine wrote:Are you close to a landing strip?

Burndown or potash.
They don't fly back and forth all day just for kicks. Costs too much to crank them up.
