Boat shoes, polos, costas and croakies, yeti visor, pastel shorts, credit card linked to daddy's bank account, and the belief that constantly flashing the Drake and Yeti emblem on their apparel/vehicles makes them an outdoorsman.

But i assure you that Tate didn't get into the outdoor gear market cause he thought it would be $#!+ gear.
Just my observation.
I dont actually use a lot of said $#!+ gear but am for one glad to know if i need it, there are many, many, many more items and lines to choose from now as opposed to times of old.
As Capt Call told Newt before they loaded up to steal horses from across the river "Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it". :D

For sure, that was not his intention. To be fair, Drake gear isn't particularly bad or good, they just suffer from having (in my experience) a douchey customer base.

Whatever they want, really. Nothing's monolithic, but there are trends among the Drake/Yeti/UnderArmour customer base not seen elsewhere. You know it when you see it, and fortunately these fellas tend to self-identify, such as wearing facepaint and your call lanyard to eat before/after the hunt as I've seen on many occasions in Greenwood.

Flyfishing is similar. If you sample from a population of flyfishermen who deck themselves out in Orvis gear before wetting a line, you're gonna find more douchebags than among those who do not.

Golly! All these hater comments are beginning to get me paranoid. By the way, what's YOUR angle? :P

And apparently, there IS a demand for fluorescent green duck calls somewhere in the world, because they can supply 100,000 pieces each and every month! All you have to do is buy at least 1,000 of them thangs every time you place your order, and they will come straight to you from the beautiful port city of Ningbo, China. Of course, you just might have to pay a little extra for shipping and handling. It IS quite a task to get stuff all the way from Zhejiang, China to Gunnison, Mississippi. But H3!!, it's gotta be worth it! The internet said so!

My old Mcalister wading vest China

I can't speak to the quality of this, but it's American made:

I thought I remembered reading a while back that some of Filson garments are made outside USA? Don't remember where or which garments or if that's even correct?

I like my Drake coat just fine. I mean you got to wear something?

correct, according to some of the clothier forums i've come across. some of the newer, trendy garments are made overseas..the old tried & trues (oiled tins/cover cloths, heavier durability items) are still made, here..for now.
Experience is a freakin' awesome teacher...

Most of the items on their site now say where they are made.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)
