Something a little different for deer
Re: Something a little different for deer
I'm thinking about building me a 6mm rem. Always have wanted one. Then I think iffin I'm going to go through all that trouble why not go on a do a weatherby. Then I start thinking how good the 264 can be and think I need one of those too. I need to win the lotto cause teaching ain't cutting it.

Picked up a savage axis in 308 today. Was a smoking deal I could not pass up. This is my first 308. What grain do you guys like to use in the 308?

150 grain SPBT. I reload but Hornady or Federal Premiums off the shelf are usually good

I've been shooting a .280 with 140 grain hollowpoints for 10 years now. Sometimes it takes some effort to find shells, but it's a tack driver and I love the 3 lb trigger pull.

So bringing this thread back up for another different caliber for deer. Anybody used the 6.5 creedmore yet? From what I have read it seems like the perfect whitetail.
