Louisiana Guys
Anybody heard from any of our Louisiana members?
Re: Louisiana Guys
Got a buddy in Denham Springs....his word for the flood----"inundated"
Re: Louisiana Guys
We left yesterday. People told me today they thought we were crazy for being worried. Our house isn't wet yet, but it's close and I'm still worried. And so many have it way worse. Just a terrible deal.

Prayers to all you guys and girls down that way.

That sucks Tim. Let me know if there's anything I can do.

Mudhog (Lane) has been posting lots of pictures from New Iberia. Lots and lots of water.

My wife has family in Denham Springs. Water got into their home yesterday and they've relocated. Communication has been spotty.

Kevin is a member here i forget his handle on here but he's in DS and his house is flooded. I know three other people in DS one house is gone and the other two are the few lucky ones that are dry.
Re: Louisiana Guys
I think Kevin Lawson is OK, but dealing with issues....I tried check on him, been seeing him on FB though.

Re: Louisiana Guys
Glad y'all got out Tim. Hope your house stays dry. So many people hurt by this it is amazing. I know one guy that closed on a house Thursday and Friday it flooded.
Re: Louisiana Guys
Thanks for the well wishes and nice words. Jim, I shoulda let you buy me lunch at Billy's today.
Water finally stopped creeping up this afternoon. We may be spared if the rain can take it easy the next couple of days. The Sheriff's Office published a chopper video, flying over my area --- just incredible.
This hillbilly learned his lesson. I'm heading for higher ground as soon as I get the real estate particulars worked out. As an old friend used to say, "I may be dumb, but I'm a fast learner."
One other thing, some of my close friends and family know that I bad mouth S LA some. Living down there is kinda a means to an end. But God bless the folks down there. That's one evermore hardworking and resilient bunch. They've been thru it all.

Thanks for checking in on us down this way. I'm good but many folks I know not so lucky. One of my offices in Baton Rouge looks to be under water, but house and family all good. Rain needs to stop soon so these rivers can quit swelling and backing up. I'd bet a dime to a dollar that this crap ends up totaling more in damages than Katrina did to Louisiana. Unbelievable how big of an area this has affected.
