New Duck Call

Postby tomccamp » Sun Jan 23, 2005 9:34 pm

I lost my duck call and need to get a new one. Anybody got suggestions? I hunt open water. I'd appreciate any pointers I could get. I was thinking about one of those echo calls, but it's been so long since I bought one that I thought yall would know better than me.

Get an acrylic or polyacrylic call.
Redleg by Haydel is unbeatable for the price
RNT, and Echo are both good as is Big Guy's Best
Roten call by Shane Roten in Minden La would be my vote.

Little Joel by Southern Game Calls in Clarksdale is pretty hard to beat. Plus if something is ever needed he will take care of it pretty quick. And when you call and order you talk to the owner personlly. That means something.

This time of year I'd suggest one of the newest calls to hit the market in decades

Tunica OWBYFTC call (in Wood only).

We have been field testing these calls for two years now and it been proven by mathimatical calculations to be the Best Attention getter yet

Simple to blow and very simple to get used to blowing

In case you are wondering its the best call I know to use when someone tries and fish the same bream bed your on..therefore the OWBYFTC was born the initials stand for the following term heard all over the cutoff
"Open water butthead your fishing too close". Trust Me one hail call (long series) and they'll just pickup and move...

Contact Tunica for pricing and availability.

LOL.

We usually take the boat paddle and slap it on the water but would be interested in the call if it produces better results.

For me, I like the Echo double reed. I also like the Echo single reed called bourbon and water. I've tried Haydel, Duck Commander, and Primos and they are all good. I just prefer Echo because the sound to me is better. Fooled quite a few greenheads with it and I guess that's the ultimate judge.

Echo Timber double reed, Ebay $7. Cant beat it, especially for a backup.

Winglock Walnut/poly double reed. Best call I got! Even I sound somewhat like a duck with it and that has to mean only one thing, it is a good call!!!
