Sorry for your loss, Joel. You can tell a lot about a person on how they act on the internet, behind a screen name. You have always acted like a gentleman. Your father played a large role in shaping you, and he must have been a gentleman too.

I was not fortunate enough to know Mr. Williams beforehand, but after his service, I felt like I had known him for years. Joel, the gentleman that spoke before the Preacher was awesome! His name escapes me, but the way he took us back in time to the days when he & "Glad" became buddies in the early forties & walked us through many many years of their friendship was amazing! At times, I felt like I was right there with them cutting up sideways!
No doubt that your Dad was one hellva man & great friend!
The tribute to his love for waterfowling was a marvelous touch as well!
I hope you have peace knowing he’s in a much better place than us!
